Alison Doody
Alison Doody is an Irish actress and model. She was born on 11th November 1966. Her feature film debut was in a minor part on the Bond film A View to a Kill. (1985). Then, later she played the Nazi-sympathising archaeologist Elsa Schneider (Indiana Jones and in the Last Crusade 1989). Siobhan Donnevan in A Prayer for the Dying (1997), Charlotte Taffin (1988) as well as Rebecca Flannery Major League II (1994) were other characters. Doody was first introduced to modeling when she was approached by an experienced photographer. It led to an impressive career as a commercial model. Doody did not shy away from glamour or naked work, a rule that allowed her to pursue an acting profession. She played opposite Pierce Brosnan in the film Taffin (1988) before she took possibly her most famous role to date in the role of Austrian Archaeologist and Nazi-sympathiser the Dr. Elsa Schneider in 1989's Indiana Jones and the Last Crusade playing opposite Harrison Ford. Doody is a part of the James Bond family, having been in the film with Sean Connery and Jonathan Pryce in the film Indiana Jones and the Final Crusade. Doody has co-starred alongside Jonathan Pryce, in the British miniseries Selling Hitler. The series was in part inspired by The Hitler Diaries publishing scam. Following her move to Hollywood Doody was famous. The actress later became Flannery her agent and partner in Major League II. She had been chosen as an alternative to Cybill Shepherd, who was once L'Oreal's spokeswoman. Doody's return to the big screen took place in 2003 when Michael Caine played Doody in a short role. The roles she played included a TV film version of King Solomon's Mines in 2004 and a book about the Holocaust as well as the short film Benjamin's Struggle in 2005. Doody had a minor role in Danny Dyer's movie The Rapture (2010). The following year, she had been scheduled set to play the lead role on The Asphyx remake, but the project was cancelled.
