Allyson Felix

Allyson Michael Felix the Los Angeles native born on November 18th, 1985. Felix's father Paul Felix is an ordained minister of the Master's Seminary, Sun Valley. Her mother Marlean Felix is a teacher at Balboa Magnet Primary School. Felix discovered early that she had an aptitude to run when she was a student at Los Angeles Baptist High School. At her first attempt, she placed among the top two athletes in the U.S. Indoor Track and Field Championships, for 200-meter sprint in only 10 weeks. Felix graduated from her high school year in 2003 and was signed by Adidas an agreement as professional athlete. Following that, she attended University of Southern California studying elementary education. Felix received her first Olympic award at 2004 Summer Olympics in Athens Greece. Felix ran 200 meters in 22.18s which set the new world junior record. She became the youngest world champion in the 200 meters in the 2005 Helsinki World Championships and defended her title in 2007 by beating her time-tested Jamaican competitor Veronica Campbell. Felix was a frequent competitor in London, Beijing Rio de Janeiro and Tokyo. She consistently placed within the top three places of the events.
